OUR STORY
Saint Lawrence was a Deacon of the Roman Catholic Church in the 3rd century A.D. As a Deacon, St. Lawrence was tasked with fundraising, managing the Church's treasury and distributing alms. When the ruling emperor demanded St. Lawrence hand over the "treasure of the Church", Lawrence gathered the sick, injured, widows, orphans, and all those in need of assistance. He presented these treasures of the Church to the emperor and consequently became a beloved martyr.
